No Time for Play | Krystle Whitney

They didn’t plan on being so scared.
They thought they had more time.
They played with their sticks and straw all day
without realizing what may come.
When he came it was too late
to hide behind the strong wall.
Now they never thought it would come to this
They thought they had time to play.
He huffed with anger as they shook with fear
They hung their head in sorrow
They knew they should have been prepared,
but instead wanted to play the day away.
