Stranger Than Wal-Mart

Worthless | Darci Dixon

As I walked along the beach
I came across a penny.
But I didn't stop to pick it up
for I knew it was one of many.
Later as I walked along
I saw a silver dime,
but I just kept on walking
cause ten cents aint
worth my time.

I stopped a while to skip some rocks
across the silent water.
But none were good, so I just skipped
a couple worthless quarters.
When I started walking home
I came across a bun.
He asked me if I had spare change...
I told him I had none.
