Stranger Than Wal-Mart

"Some 138 million Americans shop at Wal-Mart each week, making it perhaps the single most unifying cultural force in the country."

Venture #2 | Marjorie Riches

Leaves twinkle joyfully in the lazy blue daylight
Bouncing bright sunbeams off their faces,
Shining, trying to stand out in a sea of millions.
Wanting to be the biggest most beautiful on the tree,
The most important
Yearning for the sky to notice them and tell them,
You are a very special leaf.
Not realizing that they are only one leaf
Just one leaf on a huge tree
Just one leaf on one tree in the middle of the forest.
The sky, with the whole world to explore
Will never notice one little leaf.
