Kimberly Bennett|Introducton

If I could be as cool as anyone on television, I think that I would be as cool as MacGyver. The idea that any problem which presents itself can be solved and that the solution exists in front of your eyes is something I find exceptionally appealing. I've never felt that I had a mechanical mind, but after I started watching MacGyver, I started to see the world in a new way. It happens with everything I get interested in, so the fact that I found an ingenious persona and tried to adapt it to my own life isn't very surprising.
This last weekend I was trying to finish unpacking all of my things. A task of no little means let me assure you. For some reason there are no curtains in my room, so I had to improvise. A strip of material, a needle and thread and a few tacks latter and voila! Curtains. Maybe it's because of my love of the 80's television series, and maybe it's because my mom was a Cub Scout leader. Perhaps it's because I was in girl scouts, or perhaps it's just a quality I have naturally, but I am ridiculously prepared. With my sewing kit and my Leathermen want-to-be, I can attack any challenge head on. You've got a problem; I've got a purse full of solutions.
One time I fixed a toilet that wouldn't flush using no more than a twisty tie. Anything is possible if you try. I think that is what hooks me the most. There is a world out there full of everything that you can imagine, and you can be part of it. You can make a difference. Heaven bless the 80's and bless MacGyver’s everywhere.
