Venture #2 | Janette Jones

As I sit in the hot, hot sun
I ponder about what I have done
As I sit and bake my skin
I think about how I have been

I think about how I'm so small
Compared to the world around me now
I see the sky so blue and bright
Without boundaries or limits in sight

I often think "Why did God pick blue?"
Why not red, pink or a golden hue?
There is so much blue, and so much sky
If I stare too long it makes me cry

Oh, how my eyes do burn
For the cool shade I do yern
Am I getting delusional
This heat makes me feel unusual
