Plot | Ashlee Lyman

Sneek is what they called him. He lives on the outskirts of a small town in New Mexico in a rusty broken down shack. He is a veteran of war and drives around an old blue truck. Sneek is constantly accompanied by his oxygen tank and his three legged tan and white German Shepard dog that he calls squirt.
It happened on a Friday night, the two local sheriffs, Rob Clydale and Malvin Torris, drove up to Sneeks shack. Many local kids had come up missing and they had reason to believe that Sneek was somehow involved. There had been constant complaints that there were strange things going on at the shack. Local teenagers would drive around there for a slight thrill of being scared.
They entered the shack behind their pistols and slowly searched the three rooms. They found it abandoned but they did discover that there was a tunnel underneath the woodshed. They entered the tunnel not knowing whether they would find any sign of the Sneek or the dog. Where did this tunnel go? It eventually joined up with an old mining shaft and descended deeper into the earth.
They kept going and until they heard some distant noises. Holding back they waited to see if they could decipher the noises. They had been descending in the tunnel for what seemed to be hours. The noise got louder and louder and soon they discovered that the tunnel was caving in. Hurrying down the tunnel the two men became disoriented and tired. They came into a cavern where they were hit with an incredible stench. Was that an explosive on the ground ahead of them? Were they being set up? They were lost and disoriented and now would have to survive in this place and hope to escape or be rescued themselves.
