George has been working for Frank's advertising company for almost ten years. Frank takes George aside one mundane Monday morning and fires him without explaining why. An argument between the two ensues and George leaves Frank's office angry, hurt and confused. As he enters the elevator, he runs into Frank's step sister, Kathy, and they persue a conversation as the elevator doors close. George has had interest in Kathy since he was first hired by Frank, and has had suspicions that she might feel the same way. They are enjoying flirting when the doors open and Frank steps in. All three contain an awkward conversation when the elevator jerks to a stop and refuses to work. The three are trapped in the elevator for several hours until Frank triggers the elevator wiring and are delivered to the closest floor.
